雪中送炭

2 weeks ago, my mum was admitted and she "tender her resignation with immediate effect" on care giving job for Charmaine. Last week my schedule is like roller coaster, check on mum, sourcing alternatives, sending her to different places like kicking a ball here & there and coaxing her to give student care a try.

Special thanks to Godma Yvonne who took care of Charmaine on the first day and waking up early to receive her before we head out to work. Of course, Godma took the opportunity to sound Charmaine out on student care etc, spy at bit here and there and even bought her a favourite book - Whimpy Kid.

Thinking that learning bliss is the best option due to proximity to school but OMG, the set up is a bit run down and old fashioned that I couldn't convince myself to convince her. It does not help when Charmaine knows her classmate sitting besides her is pulling out on Tuesday when we checked out the place and she completely won't compromise on going there.

Wed- Thur, Esther lent a helping hand though she has 2 young kids to look after. Charmaine enjoyed the 2 days and even "asked renee to ask Esther if she is coming back on Friday". Esther constantly updated me with pics via iphone and gave Charmaine a surprise lunch with me at Bugis on Thur. Really really appreciate your help.

Big Thank you once again to Yvonne and Esther, my Tiger Buddies.

Lisa, my boss was a great support to allow me flexibility to pick her up during lunch to join Yuquan with Aden if that was the only place Charmaine is comfortable with. Elaine, my neighbour in office lent her listening ear to hear my sigh. There is always Auntie Cheng who has great confidence in Charmaine's adaptability.

Google was my best friend and I found The Kidz Club@ Lor Kilat. Checked it out and could sense that Charmaine likes the place and was willing to give it a trial.

First day at the student care on 7 Jun, Daddy picked up a Happy girl at 5 pm and she already made 3 new friends and looking forward to going back the second day.

Finally see light at the end of the tunnel. Finalized the student care, arranged the school bus transfer. Need to change my working hours to pick her up before 7 pm daily. Hmm I might even be able to prepare home cooked dinner daily.

Nothing can be achieved without the great help and support from people all around me. Felt so blessed.

Despite the busy schedule , juggling between work , housework and monitoring the kids' study. I never fail to take half day off each month to attend scrapbook classes. It is a MUST for my ME time for work-home-hobby balance.

DS Burst & Neutral Class - Feb , Mar 2010

Wow, getting lazy in updating blog. Each update takes 1 month to be done. Better buck up. Just cleared the backlog from Feb Burst Class. Since engine is running, so just keep the energy level up and completed the Neutral Class I attended on 17 Mar. Not bad to complete within the week.

Another achievement for this class, no waste of $$ to print new photos, using existing photos.

Hope to de-stash fast and "de-photo" too.

" Relocating "

We have moved from CCK to Clementi on 20 Sep 2009. Lovely place which I still missed for its convenience.

4 Feb 2010, we have moved to our new place - our very own pigeon hole on the hill.

But before the big move, what this poor mummy has to do is unpack all boxes from warehouse on her 36th Birthday. What a way to celebrate Birthday.

If only the boxes were pressies, I am sure I would have been more efficient in opening and packing.

A "short" visit to Hillington Green

We had 2 kiddo guest to our new place on 13 Feb. Ha ha our pigeon hole is so small , the visit ended realli fast.

So the kids had some fun at the playground and poolside while the Panasonic fixed back our plasma TV. ( We are so lucky! Half of the screen black out on 12 Feb, but it is still under 3 years warranty till 11 Apr 2010. We had a new LCD changed within 1 day. Phew! )

Chinatown CNY Tour

Since Aden got a trip to Chinatown via school excursion, so promised Charmaine one too. And mummy also need a last minute CNY shopping for Fa Gao, Nian Gao and some CNY Decor.

Fetched her from school and look at the big big crowd waiting for school gate to open for dismissal. Glad I do not have to fetch daily.

Cast Away!

My princess was on a arm cast since 27 Dec 2009. As usual, she was showered with lots of love from aunties, uncles and godma with many get well pressies.

She even got her Xmas wishlist - Barbie Glamour Jet. The funny gal even requested for pink arm sling or cast. Since there is no such fancy stuff at NUH, she got her friends to autograph on the plain cast.

5th Feb was her off cast day. She did not expect a "saw" and she cried the whole clinic down again. Daddy went to park the car and found us via her cries. It was that loud.

Ben 10 Craze

As much as I tried to avoid but too late, Aden has picked up this new craze. Everyday , he wants the Ben 10 Tee to be packed into his school bag.

He seems grown up too. Insisted " I must wear jeans like Daddy". Add on to the headache , stock up Ben 10 Tee and Jeans ???
