New Food - Pita

New Food - Pita

Introducing some fun to the kids' first Pita. They had fun filling up their "little pocket" and fighting over their food territory.

Not very successful as I over toasted it making it too hard. Hope they at least enjoyed the whole process.

New Haircut for Aden!

New Haircut for Aden!

It is a chore to bring Aden to haircut. He will scream, cry and refuse to cooperate. Lucky we still have help from his ex-baby sitter to bring him.

Presenting Aden's new haircut. His look somehow change and he is so boyish.

Great! No more drawing of curtain for the fringe.

So Creative !

So Creative!
Just look at how creative Charmaine being a jie jie was entertaining Aden with the stickers. Both were giggling all the way in the room before they presented their "palm face".

Will I become a Gymnast ?

Will I become a Gymnast ?

You really do not know what the kids are up to in school unless they decided to share it with you.

One day, Aden went " Mummy look at me !." He did a split.

Of course Charmaine being competitive will not lose out and check out her feet touching the back of the head.

So these are the "in" workout ?

Sense of Achievement

Sense of Achievement

I always feel apologetic to my family that as a FTWM plus a lousy cook, I cannot provide them with nutritious and delicious dinner.

My poor Chuas has to eat takeaway though Daddy may think it is a better option. Today I was up as early as 3 am.

It is important that they must have good soup weekly. So today we will have herbal chicken soup. Not enough time to cook rice to go with it so replaced with marcaroni.

Nothing beats that sense of achievement when lil Aden not only ask for second serving but 3rd and 4th till I told him too much.

Thank you for your support.

What's on Dinner Menu

What's on Dinner Menu

Being not a good cook or actually not a cook at all, ha ha I was flattered when Mr Chua says my Aglio Olio is better than the one at Delifrance.

So how can I reject this dinner request. So tonight, reached home at 7.30 pm and quickly scooped up the dish.

At the same time oso sent bacon and meatball into the oven to add on.

Not too bad dinner served at 8 pm and all completed and washed up by 9 pm.

Aden likes it too. Finished quite a big bowl.

Today I declared myself as Superwoman ha ha.

Mini Japanese Food Fair for Dinner today

Mini Japanese Food Fair for Dinner today

Whenever I have a little bit more time or on leave, my first priority is to cook a meal for my family.

So today we have karaage chicken, miso ramen and a salad with new wasabi mayo dressing.

Most encouraging to see my kids finished up and ask for second serving and hb praised that it was good.

Now motivated to check out new dishes. But must be idiot proof

Question of the day

Question of the day

We were at Delifrance last night for dinner. Charmaine kept scrutinising the salt bottle in front of her. But she did not ask. Daddy interpreted as she asking that it is, so just said it is Salt.

Of course mummy knows her daughter better, what she wanted to ask is " why are there rice in the salt bottle?"

Daddy did not answer. She must be pondering throughout dinner, and when we were queuing to exit the car park. She suddenly exclaimed, " I know , the rice is to prevent the salt to be too salty."

Daddy too had similar answer. He said the salt particles is too small so the rice is to prevent it too much for coming out at 1 go.

They thought great minds think alike. Ha ha.

P.S. Answer: The rice will absorb any moisture in the environment that might make its way into the bottle, preventing the salt from caking into hard lumps inside the salt bottle.

This layout is specially dedicated to my mum. As I am keeping myself awake to monitor Aden's fever, I can feel the love from my mum who had done the same for me when I was young.

Mummy's love is the greatest! Thank you , Mum as you have extended that unconditioned love to my kids too.

Happy Mother's Day.

Guess he felt so much better because he is now sitting there watching Play house disney.
