My colleague baked and showed me how simple the recipe is. Hmm so I tried with the sweet version adding apricot, cranberry, sunflower seed and walnut. But oops error #1 never grease pan #2 not fine because maybe never mixed enuff - too lazy.
Well at least I tried but not trying again because daddy says "no taste"!!!!
Ingredient
350g plain flour
½ block of Kraft Cheddar Cheese, diced
4 tsp of double action baking powder
3 tbsp of brown sugar
1 tsp of coarse black pepper
½ tsp salt, optional
4 slices of ham, diced
Spring onions, chopped. Estimate ½ small bowl but can adjust according to taste
1 can of anchor beer
4 tbsp of butter, melted
Method
Preheat oven to 190°C
Mix all the dry ingredients together
Add cheese, ham and spring onion and mix well
Stir in the can of beer
Pour into the bread pan (large) and spoon/drip the melted butter evenly onto the top of the mixture.
Bake for about 40mins or bread until brown is golden brown.
Note: For sweet bread, you can substitute ham and spring onions with apricot, sunflower seeds, walnut, cranberries etc.
Ingredients – minus coarse black pepper
Method remains same
